COVID-19 UPDATEUnfortunately, due to the current shelter in place directives, the game will be postponed. Our priority is the health and well-being of our players, coaches, families and supporters. We will continue to monitor and follow all sport governing body, national, state and local government guidelines and rulings concerning Coronavirus (COVID-19) developments. Thank you for your generous support and we will share more updates as they develop. Thank you. As we wind down another season, we have seen many great accomplishments by our special needs athletes. We have doubled the number of athletes participating since a year ago and they have all come a long way.
The Monarchs Special Hockey team participated in the USA Hockey Disabled Hockey Classic this year and we held our own against teams from as far away as Wisconsin and Canada. Some of our athletes participated in the Special Olympics Winter Games coming away with more than a dozen medals. As we move forward into 2020, our expenses continue to grow while we try to hold the line on tuition increases. We have been able to subsidize our costs through fundraising and are excited to announce the next charity hockey game feature NHL alumni on Saturday, May 2nd at 1pm at Skylands Ice World in Stockholm, NJ. The support of the hockey community is amazing and we thank you for your continued support. Brad Meyers and The Monarchs Board of Directors www.monarchs.us
